John Deere joins Giant Software's Farming Simulation League with its own agricultural simulator gaming team

Now it's official: when the Farming Simulator League (FSL) 2019/2020 starts, John Deere will be standing ready with a team of its own. The new tournament series was conceived by the games manufacturer Giants Software. The participating teams will be competing for the title of "Farming Simulator Champion 2020" and the attractive prize money of 250,000 euros in 15 tournament games to be held across Europe.
The newly formed John Deere esports team is recruited from seven Farming Simulator players from across Germany. As a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, it is the explicit goal of John Deere to play a distinct role in the FSL as well.

"The reasons for John Deere's entry into e-sports is obvious: first and foremost, the attractiveness of the detailed farming simulator within the agricultural industry and far beyond. This is accompanied by the high acceptance of the John Deere products in the Farming Simulator and the ever-stronger integration of the real with the digital world."

Ralf Lenge, Manager Public Relations John Deere

By joining the FSL, there are plans to expand the virtual fleet of machines in the game. The John Deere team will be followed on social media by John Deere. For the first time, John Deere will have its own team at the start of FarmCom 2019.
